A Bit About Me
Food for the whole family
I've had a passion to cook and bake all my life. After spending 20 years in the US Air Force, I retired in 2014 and took care of my family full time (my husband is still active duty Air Force and I have 2 daughters...and our dog). I began bread baking in 2013 when I started reading food labels and learning about how our food is made. This started my curiosity into figuring out how to keep processed food at a minimum for my growing family...that meant cooking and baking from scratch while also learning some science behind how items are prepared.
After my retirement from the military, my dream was to one day go to culinary school. I accomplished that dream in 2023, by not only completing a culinary arts degree, but also a pastry arts degree. I love to make wholesome, good food. Sharing this passion with others makes my heart so happy. In 2023 I opened One Fine Krumb, a registered cottage food bakery in Illinois. I'm ServSafe certified and insured.
All of my breads are made with organic wheat flours, organic milk and my croissants are made with European-style butter. My cakes are made with unbleached cake flour, certified-humanely raised eggs and only real butter goes into my buttercream. I prepare food for you like I would for my own family. I look forward to getting to know the people I serve and would love to bake for you!
